SantéLink wanted to bring patients and healthcare professionals closer together without forcing partner clinics to change their existing software. The technical challenge: aggregate availability from eight different booking systems, guarantee the confidentiality of medical results, and ship the app on both stores simultaneously with a smooth native experience.
Cross-platform app in React Native with a Firebase back-end for authentication and push notifications. Clinic integrations go through a custom adapter layer that normalises iCal, FHIR, and proprietary REST feeds into a single format. On-call pharmacy geolocation uses the Google Maps API with a local cache for offline fallback. All medical data communications are end-to-end encrypted and compliant with Canada's PIPEDA requirements.
